When starting CFG in January 2006, James brought nearly twenty years of business, financial, real estate and military experience together to create one of the most innovative conservative investment companies in the United States. His primary goals in establishing CFG are to fundamentally change the view of investment strategies for health care professionals and entrepreneurs and to provide opportunities to educate the public on contemporary approaches to life insurance and trusts which allow individuals to retain more income, improve investment exit strategies, and to reduce taxation.
In addition to helming CFG, James has broadened the reach of CFG by providing institutional investment vehicles and conducting nationwide financial seminars. He is currently Planned Giving Specialist for the Office of Development & Planned Giving at Northwestern Health Sciences in Bloomington, Minnesota as well as CFG’s key speaker at our Financial Independence Seminar series and other notable practice management seminars, such as ChiroAdvance Seminars and the upcoming Orthodontics Seminars.
David L. Stussy, D.C.

Dr. David L. Stussy is a world expert on the brain and health and is considered a master chiropractor, healer, teacher and philosopher. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1972. He continues to own and manage one of the largest neurology specialty multi-doctor clinics, Kenwood Chiropractic Arts, since 1981. His postgraduate studies include master certification in spinal trauma and accelerated healing, scoliosis protocol, brain based neurological therapies, applied neurology, and pro-inflammatory nutrition. He was also one of the first doctors licensed to practice acupuncture in the state of Minnesota.
David is also a public speaker and currently has a radio program, “The Big Brain Radio Show” that airs on Air America Minnesota on 950 AM and is also a speaker for CFG’s Financial Independence Seminars. Furthermore, David is a firm believer in philanthropy and has contributed more than $1,000,000 to Northwestern Health Sciences University to establish a scientific foundation to sponsor research into chiropractic.
Charles D. Matthews, Attorney at Law, MCEP
Estate Planning Department
With over forty years of distinguished legal service, Charles is a leader in the field of estate planning and provides CFG with valuable expertise in the field. Author of numerous texts on estate planning, Charles is also a key figure nationally, having sat on the board of the National Institute of Certified Estate Planners as well as having served as Executive Director.
James McCready, D.C.
Sales/Professional Development Department
Dr. James McCready brings over twenty years of scientific, healthcare, and business development to the CFG team. He graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Delaware with a BS in Agriculture in 1977 and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Palmer College in 1984, where he was the first recipient of the Palmer Award for Excellence in Research. Since then James has successfully operated and managed chiropractic, pain and rehabilitation centers in Delaware and Pennsylvania and even served as the team chiropractor for the Philadelphia 76ers in the mid 1980s. In the interim, James has pursued an active research agenda investigating the causes and misconceptions of spinal injury while successfully managing the sales and increasing the productivity of three Arizona medical establishments. Bringing together his various talents for healing, sales, and practice management James had recently embarked on a career in chiropractic wellness management and as a marketing coach.
Currently, James is heading up our professional development department where he is looking forward to increasing the sales force and productivity of CFG while also contributing to the creation and maintenance of our practice management and coaching services.
Justin Fresques
Policy Planning Department
Justin brings his extensive knowledge of business operations to CFG having graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in both accounting and finance. Currently, he is in charge of expediting clients through the complex process of policy processing, as well as tracking cash inflows.
A key figure in our client relations, Justin also advises and consults with business consultants to develop strategies that make our policy processing system efficient and responsive. Additionally, Justin trains and supervises the CFG policy processing team and is responsible for assuring that CFG maintains a high level of communication between our consultants and clients.
Bob House
Practice Management Marketing
With more than twenty years of experience in practice marketing, Bob has helped hundreds of practices develop and implement successful marketing strategies with measurable ROI and uncommon patient satisfaction. For several years, he was Senior Marketing Director at Practice Builders, the oldest and largest firm specializing in professional practice consulting. His writing on practice marketing and advertising has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times and other national publications.
In addition to health care marketing, Bob has an extensive background in marketing management with corporations such as CBS Television and Mattel Toys. After earning a bachelor’s degree at Stanford University, Bob completed graduate work in marketing at UCLA.
